Inclusion Benefits All Project
Break down barriers to full participation for people who are neurodivergent (such as those with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia) by joining the Inclusion Benefits All Project.
Imagine a future where diversity is valued for increasing creativity, innovation and challenging assumptions.
The first step to breaking down barriers to participation is understanding that different people can experience the world in different ways.
Imagine all children at a school having a lesson on inclusion, learning about different perspectives and ways of experiencing the world.
What is the Inclusion Benefits All Project?
What can we learn if everyone participates?
Would you like to spark ideas of different points of view and how to include everyone, no matter how differently we perceive the world?
Do you share a vision of a future of true inclusion?
The Inclusion Benefits All Project aims to provide schools with resources to allow them to complete lessons on inclusion.
Not satisfied with writing the children's book, 'When You Get To Know Me...' to help break down barriers to inclusion, Katie van der Watt wanted to do more. Katie set out to provide the book, as well as easy, ready to use resources to schools at no cost, and the Inclusion Benefits All Project was born!
Free, ready to go resources
Participating schools are provided with resources and can immediately implement the lesson plans with a Stage 2 class. This can be added to lessons already conducted on inclusion, or start valuable new conversations. By passing the resources onto to the next Stage 2 class (and Stage 6 class), more students are provided with this valuable, eye-opening lesson and discussion.
And on and on it goes...
The following year, the resources are passed onto the new Stage 2 classes (and new Stage 6 classes) and on and on it goes.... So, the Inclusion Benefits All Project is able to provide a sustainable pathway to breaking down barriers to inclusion through student education.
By sharing your participation in the Inclusion Benefits All Project, you also have the opportunity to start conversations and break down barriers in your wider community.
Generous donations cover printing and postage costs. There is no requirement for a school or school community to make a donation, participation is free!
